In 2020 for my 38th Birthday I gave myself the gift of a lifetime - A Coach. Saying it was a life changing experience would be an understatement.
I always struggled with feeling content with my career choices. Now I also struggled with some of my life choices going through a divorce and being the mum of a 4 year old, while being the sole breadwinner of the family in a foreign country.
For the past 20 years I had the feeling that I made my career choices based on what I thought was expected from me or would give me external acknowledgment. I knew something had to change.
... for more than 3 months we took a deep dive into gaining clarity about what I truly wanted to do, to experience and to live like. My 4 Core Topics were:
- COMMUNITY & HUMAN CONNECTION
- CREATIVITY
- CURIOSITY, &
- NATURE & THE ENVIRONMENT.
We uncovered that i always neglected my desire to be a creator! Of narratives, of stories, of human connections & change. PHOTOGRAPHY was one of the key elements for me being creative, which I never took seriously. So I started being the creator that I never allowed myself to be! Worked on various assignments for a range of NGOs and on a personal project about inspiring, Cambodian Women.
... for more than 3 months we took a deep dive into gaining clarity about what I truly wanted to do, to experience and to live like. My 4 Core Topics were:

- CREATIVITY
- CURIOSITY, &
- NATURE & THE ENVIRONMENT.

I value ambition. I value the drive to experience more in life. I value dedication for the goals defined and the persistence to follow through. I value challenge. As a coach I am here not only for guiding my clients to more clarity but foremost to challenge them to stretch their comfort zones over and over again. I try to live my life along the lines of Connection, Curiosity and Courage and am inspired to work with clients who can resonate with that.
Today I am a mission driven entrepreneur and creator. I am also a single mum who prioritizes work-life alignment. But that wasn't always the case. For 20+ years I struggled with owning my path.
My
Story
My struggle
with career fulfillment
I was always the ambitious type of person. An over-achiever, wanting to do something really big in my life. Work always was a priority and a key to my happiness
I got amazing marks, awesome degrees, the cool internships and worked abroad when that was still a thing. I aced my job interviews and always did a great job! I was a master in covering up my struggles.
To any outsider i probably looked like I had it all figured out. Only, that I had not! Somehow there was always something missing!
I knew 100% that there must be more outthere, that my potential is much bigger! That I had so much more to share and give to the world.
My relationships suffered up to a point where I lost my marriage and was constantly complaining with friends.
My mental health suffered. I was drained. Frustrated. Restless. Constantly running options around in my head. Feeling like a cog in a wheel.
My confidence eroded. I felt undervalued and at the same time clueless why I couldn't figure out a career I am truly thrilled about despite the great foundation.
And eventually, my work quality and engagement at work suffered.
Until
it all crashed.
My
Turning Point
Sometimes accepting the fact that we need support can be the biggest struggle of all, especially for High-Achievers who always seem like they got it all together and are used to making things work.
I understood that I could not get out of the stuckness on my own. It was time for a serious transformation and the biggest gift I could give myself!
A Coach for my 38th Birthday!
The biggest Shift he we ignited together was me having someone rooting for me. Often times it is not that we not know, at least deep down inside! Often times what we need is someone who has our back, who challenges us, because he believes in our potential and who is watching.
My Personal SHIFT
The past 2 years have been wild. Full of SHIFTS that have each stretched my comfort zone to the max. At the end I decided to make the biggest leap of my professional life: Resigning from my 9-5 and starting my own passion business:
Becoming a mission-driven entrepreneur that nurtures human connection, and guides others in creating careers and work environments that are fulfilling: vibrant, joyous and inspirational.
In addition I am building an incredible body of work as a documentary photographer, shooting assignments for some of the most incredible NGOs.
